Hawthorn’s is the triple gold medal-winning, citrusy, smooth, not-so-classic London Dry gin that you’ve never heard of – and that is about to become your favourite tipple!
The recipe was created by Commander ‘Skip’ Wallrock, who distilled it himself and smuggled it aboard his ship during World War 2 to boost the crew’s morale. A few years ago, his grandson found the recipe amongst his secret wartime diaries and decided to recreate it. It turned out to be a ‘damn fine drop’ just as Skip wrote!
Turns out, everyone who tries it thinks so too. Hawthorn’s has just won its third consecutive gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
