Studio Seilern Architects is an award-winning international creative practice working on projects throughout Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. SSA has a diverse portfolio specialising in residential, hospitality, performing arts and education. We are currently working on Wellington College Performing Arts Centre in Berkshire, a 240m tall hotel tower in Dubai, a 300,00m2 masterplan with an opera house in Egypt, a 15,000m2 mixed-use masterplan on a UNESCO designated heritage site in Vilnius, and two projects in the Swiss alpine village of Andermatt; a 700-seat world-class concert hall and Restaurant Gütsch which is situated on top of a mountain at 2,300m altitude.
Our work revolves around the idea that architecture constitutes public art at a larger urban scale. The character of a place is shaped by our intervention, and we feel that our work must react to a specific site and consciously address the impact it will have on the area. Therefore, public space is at the core of every project, however large or small.
