Company Description:
The Gin Kitchen is a distillery in the Surrey Hills crafting luxurious spirits with love and laughter. We supply the world’s top luxury stores, five-star hotels, Michelin starred restaurants, independent bars and wine and spirit merchants who share our passion for exclusive fresh, rich and smooth spirits. We also make bespoke spirits tailored to our customers, and host tasting and distilling experiences and parties. Our artisan distillery, the beating heart of The Gin Kitchen, is in a 170-year-old barn on the outskirts of Dorking. We have a shop and a cocktail bar and love to welcome visitors.
Set in the Surrey Hills, in the English countryside, The Gin Kitchen distillery operates from a converted traditional hay barn. It was founded by gin-loving friends Kate and Helen in 2016, after being inspired by a BBC radio programme and experimenting in Kate’s kitchen (hence the name).
Their two first gins were widely acclaimed and were stocked in the prestigious Fortnum and Mason store in Piccadilly within weeks of trading. They are proud to have been Spirit of the Month in the store three times in the space of twelve months.
Gutsy Monkey Winter Gin is a full-bodied, rich and smooth spiced gin, with subtle citrus and complex aromatic highlights. Bold, earthy Croatian juniper, fresh lime zest, fresh ginger and fresh thyme, gorgeous Jamaican allspice, coriander seed, black pepper and a touch of cumin for warmth.
Dancing Dragontail Summer Gin uses a light fresh juniper from Kossovo as the base with a kick of aromatic green cardamom and uplifting citrus notes from pink grapefruit. The use of some unusual roots adds complexity and gives the gin a sweet, warm mouth feel.
Eternal Absinthe is a light amber colour like you might expect of a delicate rosé wine. It gets this from the addition of rose petals in the second maceration.
